While studying in my third year as a Bachelor of Arts major in Communication Arts, I realized how important it is to be firm about what you want to do in the future because we are not going to be college students forever. Once we finish our degree, we will eventually look for a job that can support our daily needs, so I believe it is important to choose something that we can enjoy doing. Sometimes, I think I should have researched more, planned ahead, and decided earlier on what I wanted to become as an adult. I also wish I had not doubted the decision I made just because the outcome was not as perfect as I imagined it would be.
Even though I had doubts about my decision, I am lucky that I met friends who became some of the closest people to me. Having them around made college life feel lighter, especially during the moments when I struggled with my academics and questioned whether I had made the right choice. Throughout this program, I have learned so many lessons about academics, life, and friendship. Most importantly, I realized that I genuinely enjoy being part of productions, which is one of the reasons I chose this course in the first place. I look forward to gaining more experience in production and continuing to learn alongside the people who have been there through my struggles.
